From lounger to lunch
From your lounger under the acacia tree to your favourite table on the terrace. While you choose from our menu of Andalusian and Mediterranean dishes, our gardener brings in vegetables from our organic gardens and our chef prepares your lunch. Our mission: keep it simple and keep you happy. Non-resident guests are also welcome.
The house behind the hotel

We have always been travellers. At twenty, Pom spent a year with the Maasai in Kenya. At seventeen, I arrived in Seville with my guitar and felt at home before speaking a word of Spanish. Years later, our paths crossed there, and we fell in love. Life took us to Amsterdam, where Gina and Pablo were born.
Then an unexpected turn brought us a ruin in the mountains near Ronda. We packed the car and set off with our two small children, planning to stay for a year while we restored it.
Ronda, of course, had other plans.The landscape, the people and a steady stream of visiting friends gave us an idea: a small hotel where guests could feel at home and be welcomed as friends.
We sold our house in Amsterdam and put everything into La Fuente de la Higuera.
More than thirty years later, the hotel holds much of our story: art collected on our travels, inherited pieces and spaces shaped with care.
Today, Pablo runs the hotel with our wonderful team, while Gina has followed her own path into music. Pom and I are still dreaming, still very different, and still travelling together.

Here are the questions we are asked most often — answered as we would if you were sitting with us on the terrace.
You are welcome to arrive from 3:00 PM, and we ask that you leave your room by 12:00 PM the following day. If your journey calls for an earlier arrival or a slower departure, simply let us know in advance; we will do what we can to arrange it.
Yes. Small companions (up to 7 kg) are welcome to join you, for a supplement of €20 per night, in our Double and Superior Double rooms. We ask that other requests be confirmed with us beforehand, so we can make sure everyone feels at home.
There is, quiet and reliable, should you need it. Though we hope you’ll find, once you’re here, that the stillness of the countryside is reason enough to leave it unused for a while.
Our pricing follows the rhythm of the season and demand, rather than a fixed number. As a rule, planning your escape early, or choosing the quieter months, tends to reward you with a gentler rate. Reserving directly with us also ensures you always find our best price.
Close enough to reach the town in about fifteen minutes by car, yet far enough to feel the calm of the Serranía the moment you arrive. We sit among olive groves at Partido de los Frontones, with the countryside, not the hustle and bustle of the city, as our nearest neighbour.
Each morning, breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:30, with local flavours and the quiet of the garden to accompany it. Depending on the rate you choose, it may already be included, or added at €21 per adult. Either way, it’s a moment worth lingering over.
Yes, on site parking is included, with no need to reserve it in advance. For guests travelling by electric vehicle, including Tesla, a charging point is also available.
We do, a table set with ingredients drawn from the land around us, some grown in our own gardens. It is where many of our guests choose to end the day, beneath the Andalusian sky.
Both find their rhythm here. Many arrive as couples, drawn by the privacy and the romance of the setting. Families are equally at home, with children welcomed (a small supplement applies from a certain age) and babysitting arranged upon request.
Cancellation terms depend on the room and rate you reserve. Some remain fully flexible, others are set once confirmed. We recommend reviewing the conditions at the time of booking, so there are no surprises later.
